Bethabara Historic Park Internship

I have been working less the past few weeks, but exciting things are still happening. I was finally able to give my Gemeinhaus tour, and I passed! I got my key to this historic building, and I am now able to give either tour to guests! I am really excited, and I feel very confident about my Gemeinhaus tour. I find it much easier than the timeline tour, since it is more focused and there are more objects to look at and ask questions about. I did participate in blacksmithing again, but it was such a busy day with visitors that I mostly just kept the fire going while the blacksmith made souvenirs for guests! I am extra excited to have finished my training for tours because I can also start to do more tasks at the park, including some collections work in the future! Pottery shards are often found around the park, either during construction or by guests in the river. The park has to keep them and accession them, but there are currently a lot that have been found and not yet accessioned. Hopefully next week I can start learning more about archeological collections so I can assist in accessioning them!
